HELP WOMEN RISE

GOOD

SALT

Salt was once currency — rare, valuable, preserved.

Women have always been the salt — quietly essential, woven into the fabric of families and communities. We’ve seasoned the world with our labor, care, and strength. When our essential work leads to financial independence, we rise, and so do the communities around us.

Good Salt turns skills into work, work into power, and power into possibility.

Power and possibility for migrant and refugee women

It’s essential and elevates everything it touches.

Be good salt.

Three ingredients

ONE MOVEMENT

We bring together paid accredited training, a culturally inspired food product, and a thriving community network. Together, they create opportunity, shift power, and open doors for migrant and refugee women to build futures on their own terms.

  • Paid accredited culinary training — specializing in patisserie — paired with financial and digital literacy, language support, and mentorship to build confidence, skills, and pathways to employment.

  • A culturally inspired food product, rooted in heritage and international flavors, designed to spark conversation, celebrate culture, and fund our mission.

  • A thriving network of mentors, partners, and advocates offering connection, cultural integration, and support to help women belong, grow, and lead.

What holds women back isn’t ability, it’s access. Policies, prejudice, and poverty wages keep them from building stable, dignified work. And the cost of exclusion is steep, for them and the communities around them.

Breaking these barriers starts with skills that build choice and confidence

  • Specialized training – filling a real market gap with accredited skills and experience in patisserie

  • English language support – meeting visa and workplace requirements with confidence

  • Digital and financial literacy – turning cultural skills into economic opportunity, from traditional work to micro‑business ownership

This is how we shift what’s possible:

Learn. Earn. Rise.

Good Salt is more than a training program or a product line — it’s a stand for dignity, belonging, and the power of financial independence.

We know business can be done differently — where people are valued over profit, and purpose drives growth. We believe that when women control their income, they control their choices. That’s how power shifts, and possibility grows.

We met in Modena, Italy — Canadian, American, and British by nationality — connected by shared values and a vision for change. One of us is a former refugee; all of us know the courage and vulnerability it takes to migrate, learn a new language, and begin again.

That journey shaped how we see the world — and how we build Good Salt — with empathy, respect, and a deep belief in the power of women to change what’s possible.

This work is rooted in lived experience.

We’re just getting started

We're preparing to launch our pilot academy in Oxford in mid-2026 — the first step in helping migrant and refugee women access the skills and confidence they need to enter work with dignity and choice.

This early phase includes securing our first kitchen and community space, while establishing key partnerships. Once the academy is running, we’ll begin R&D on our culturally inspired food line — a long-term revenue engine designed to sustain and scale this work.

And throughout it all, we’ll collaborate with women-led businesses to put more economic power in the hands of women.

Three women. one vision.
